Need Strength???

Word:

Do you not know?    Have you not heard?  The LORD is the everlasting God,   the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary,   and His understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40: 28-31.

One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

Acts 18: 9-10

I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength. Phil 4:13

Thought:

God’s power and His strength never diminish and it is limitless like His everlasting love. His strength is our source. He cares for each and every one of us personally.

God’s sovereign plan

Dear all,

May God bless you and keep you in His presence and His peace during this Christmas season and years to come.

Word:

But you, Bethlehem Ephrata, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from ancient times. Micah:  5:2

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.  This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Thought:

In order to magnify the glory of his own mercy God has chosen the little town of Bethlehem, Joseph, Mary, Shepherds and Wiseman to be part of His sovereign plan.

Wish you all a merry Christmas.

Stand firm in Christ

The Journey Team

Sound Doctrine

Word:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.” Isaiah 9:6

You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine. Titus 2:1

Thought:

Invest your spiritual abilities for those who are walking along with you. Express your genuine love, care and compassion to non-believers by praying, sharing the word of God, and living a Christ centered life. To stay in good spiritual shape we must discipline ourselves to study God’s word and obey it.

Purity in Christian life

Word:

How can a young man keep his way pure?  By living according to your word. Ps 119: 9

Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5

Thought:

Our Journey in Christ begins with God’s wisdom, requires practical application and the results will be victorious Christian living. Trust God and His word; allow His word to speak to you personally; be willing to obey: act on God’s direction daily; May His Word be our confidence to face our day to day challenges.

Life Style

Let us always remember to be humble and obedient so we could reflect Christ like characteristics in everything we do.

Word: There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community. Pro 6: 16-19

Thought:

Let us live a pattern of life that God approves.

Remember God’s goodness

Word:
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Ps 100: 4-5

Thought:

Remember God’s goodness, grace and dependability in our life. He never put his people to shame.  Worship Him with a whole heart, mind and soul.  Thank and Praise Him – His love endures forever.

God’s wisdom

Word:

Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2: 3 – 6

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Col 2: 2-3

Thought:

Wisdom’s starting point is God and His revealed Word is the source of “knowledge and understanding”.

Where are you???

Word:

The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: for gaining wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight; for receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to those who are simple, knowledge and discretion to the young- let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise. Pro 1: 1 – 6.

Thought:

God wants his people to be wise. When we choose God’s way, He grants us wisdom. His word, the Holy Bible helps us to live right in the dark world, have right relationships and make right decisions. When you are following His word you are living in His “ARK” not in “DARK”. Where are you?

Trust in the LORD

Word:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Pro 3: 5-6

Thought:

When we have an important decision to make, we sometimes feel that we can’t trust anyone. But our Lord Jesus Christ knows what is best for us. We must trust Him completely in every choice we need to make. Always listen and be willing to be corrected by God’s word. Bring your decisions to God in prayer, use the word of God as your guide, then follow God’s leading. He will direct your paths by both guiding and protecting you.

Fear of the Lord

Word:  Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Pro 1: 7.

Thought: God’s laws revive us, make us wise bringing joy to the heart, give insight, warn us and reward us.
