How has God’s Word taken root in your life?

Dear all,

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of Holy Spirit. Romans 15: 13

Word:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+13%3A19-23&version=NIV

19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Matthew 13:19-23New International Version (NIV)

Thought:

The four types of soils represent different responses to God’s message. People respond differently because they are in different states. Some are hardened, others are shallow, others are contaminated by distracting by distracting worries, and some are receptive.

How has God’s Word taken root in your life?

What kind of soil are you?

Let us be ready to accept the Word of God and grow in Christ Jesus and live for Him.

Have you been enjoying God’s special treatment without giving anything in return?

Dear all,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Word:

Then Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

“‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’”  Luke 13: 6 – 3.

Thought:

Have you been enjoying God’s special treatment without giving anything in return? If so, respond to the Gardener’s patient care and begin to bear that fruit God has created you to produce.

Be thankful to God that you are wonderfully made to accomplish His purposes.

The Language of Pain

Dear all,

May God bless and strengthen you all the days of your lifeEphesians 6

Word:

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire —may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1: 6-7

Thought – The Language of Pain:

When your life explodes in continuous pain and prolonged suffering, trust in Christ Jesus is more important than logic.

The notion of pain/suffering/evil is something the Bible recognizes in its earliest books.  Job is an ancient book, and its focus is on pain and suffering.  The Book of Job undoubtedly served as a constant reminder to the Jewish nation that their relationship with God was not related to their physical circumstances.  That reminder has been met throughout history by believers with varying amounts of acceptance.

We must accept trials as part of the refining process that burns away impurities and prepares us to meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Remember – Jesus carries us through everything, because He is able.

I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. Isa 48:10

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

John H. Sammis, 1846-1919

‘God’s deep secrets’

Dear all,

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1: 2

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word:

However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love him. These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.1 Corinthians 2:9-10

Thought:

‘God’s deep secrets’ refer to God’s unfathomable nature and his wonderful plan – Jesus’ Death and Resurrection and the promise of salvation, revealed only to those who believe that what God says is true.

God never forgets His People. He is good at all time. God’s eyes are watching us and His grace and mercy are hovering over us. Honestly, we cannot hide anything from Him.

Be brave!

O God, You are my God;

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: Psalms 63: 1 -8

O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water.2 Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your loving kindness is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches, For You have been my help, And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.  My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.

Thought:

In these Bible verses King David reviewed all the ways God had already helped him, and he greeted the next day with songs of praise. In our quiet moments or wakeful nights, make it a point to count examples of God’s faithfulness to us. Doing so is far more likely to give us rest than any other items we might count!

The Word Became Flesh:

Dear all,

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of Holy Spirit. Romans 15: 13

Word:   In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1: 1

The Word Became Flesh: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1: 1-5

Thought: The simple statement that God created the heavens and the earth is one of the most challenging concepts confronting the modern mind. The vast galaxy we live in is spinning at the incredible speed of 490,000 miles an hour. But even at this breakneck speed, our galaxy still needs 200 million years to make one rotation. And there are over one billion other galaxies just like ours in the universe. When God created, he made something from nothing. Remember that God created the universe because he loves us and LORD Jesus Christ came to show the Father’s love to us.

COST OF DISCIPLESHIP

Dear all,

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1: 2

Word:  “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15: 5

Thought: The Spirit filled life is the Christ-directed life by which Christ lives His life in and through us in the power of the Holy Spirit. Faith is the only means by which a Christian can live the Spirit filled life.

Action plan: Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead your life and be humble to accept his guidance. The cost of discipleship may be different for each and every one.

“Transformed souls impacting the campuses and the globe as disciples of the LORD Jesus Christ”

Dear all,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Phil 1:2

Word:

Led by the Holy Spirit series

Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised, And His greatness is unsearchable.  One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. Psalms 145: 3 – 4

Thought:

Remember God’s goodness in Christ Jesus, grace and dependability in our lives. He never puts his people to shame. Worship Him with whole heart, mind and soul.  Thank and Praise Him – His love endures forever and it is deeper than the ocean.

Led by the Holy Spirit series

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: Led by the Holy Spirit series

Ephesians 5:18-20

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thought:

In Christ we have a better joy, a higher and lasting joy to cure our depression or tension.  Submit yourself and draw constantly from his power. When you feel down, you may find it difficult to give thanks. Take heart – in all things. God works for our good if we love him and are called by him (Romans 8: 28). Thank God, not for your problems but for the strength he is building in you through the difficult experiences of your life. You can be sure that God’s perfect love will see you through.
