When you are living in Christ the fear will fear to touch you

Word:

But whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.” Pro 1:33

Thought:

Let us renew our vision and confidence in Christ.

In this world there are only two categories of peoples. People who are living in Christ and those who are without Christ.

When you are living in Christ the fear will fear to touch you.

Swimming against water

Word:

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. Isaiah 43:2

Thought:

Let us renew our vision and confidence in Christ.

Going through rivers of difficulty will either cause you to drown or force you to grow stronger. If you go in your own strength, you are more likely to drown. If you invite the Lord to go with you, He will protect you.

God’s forgiveness

Word:

The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly. Luke 22: 6-62

Thought:

Let us renew our vision and confidence in Christ.

Sin like cancer has a way of growing if unchecked.  Better kill it before it even begins. Confess your sins or your desire to sin to the Lord and ask His help to grow in Christ.

We need to be aware of our breaking points and not become overconfident or self sufficient.

If we fail Him we must remember that Christ can use those who recognize their failures. From this humiliating experience Peter learned much that would help him later when he assumed leadership of the young Church.

“Where are you?”

Word:

Like birds hovering overhead, the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will ‘pass over’ it and will rescue it.”  Isa 31:5

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. Mat 23:37

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the LORD God called to the man, “Where are you?” Genesis 3:8-9

Thought:

Let us renew our vision and confidence in Christ.

Revival is an experience in the church; Evangelism is an expression of the Church – Paul. S.Rees

Secret of Prayer

Word:

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Mat 21:22

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. I John 5: 14-15.Thought: Let us renew our vision and confidence in Christ.

Matthew 6:6

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Jesus, our Role model prayed secretly and preached the word of God publicly without fear.

The secret of Prayer is Praying Secretly. EM Pounds

Prayer – Power to the powerless

Word:

Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. James 5: 17-18

Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want me to do for you?” he asked.  “Lord,” they answered, “we want our sight.” Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him. Matthew 20:32-34.

Thought:

Let us renew our vision and confidence in Christ.

The Christian’s most powerful resource is communion with God through prayer.

Prayer – Power to the powerless

Hope to the hopeless

Strength to the strenghthless

God will answer your prayers in mysterious ways.

Let us renew our vision and confidence in Christ

Word:

Jesus said “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5

I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,  and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Phil 3: 11-14

“EXPECT GREAT THINGS FROM GOD ATTEMPT GREAT THINGS FOR GOD.”-  William Carey (1761-1834).Thought: Let us renew our vision and confidence in Christ.

My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;

I dare not trust the sweetest frame,

But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand;

All other ground is sinking sand!  —Edward Mote (1797-1874)

Small Beginnings

Word:

Small Beginnings

And though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great. Job 8:7

Who despises the day of small things?  ZECHARIAH 4:10

Jesus said:

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.  Matthew 6:33-34 (NIV)

The Lord is the Author and the Finisher (Hebrews 12:2). What He begins, He completes (Philippians I: 6).

Thought:

Life – Full of new beginnings

Failures are not fatal

Delays are not deadly

Pressures are not permanent

Have a victorious walk in Christ.

Life – Full of new beginnings

Word:

But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. Mat 13:16

Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. Ps 119:18

Teach me, LORD, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end. Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Ps 119: 33-34

I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. John 17:14

Thought:

Life – Full of new beginnings

God’s word – The Holy Bible is the only sure guide for living a pure life. Scripture points out sin, motivates us to confess, renews our relationship with Christ and guides us back to the right path.

Frustration to Fruitation

Word:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  Mat 11:28-30.Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Mat 8:31-32

Thought:

Frustration to Fruitation

Jesus frees people from the bondage of sins. The rest that Jesus promises is love, healing and peace with God.

A true relationship with God changes meaningless, wearisome toil in to spiritual productivity and purpose.
