How can you come close to God?

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. I Cor 1: 3

Verses 7-8 says – Humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you.

Thought: How can you come close to God?

Remember your call and never forget your identity in Christ Jesus. Accept God’s way of living in every phase of your life.

Humble yourselves before God. Yield to His authority and will, commit your life to Him and His control and be willing to follow Him. Resist the devil in Jesus’ name. Don’t permit devil’s traps to entice and tempt you.

Thought: Sowing seeds of peace yields harvest of righteousness. Sowing seeds of bitter jealousy yields disorder. Seeking God’s wisdom delivers us from the need to compare ourselves to others and to want what they have.

Thought: Led by the Holy Spirit

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
