Word:

Thought:

God’s word is the flash light for our Journey. The Spirit of the Lord brings wisdom, understanding, knowledge and the fear of the Lord. Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

Life in Christ Jesus

Word:

Then Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

“‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’”  Luke 13: 6 – 3.

Thought:

Have you been enjoying God’s special treatment without giving anything in return? If so, respond to the Gardener’s patient care and begin to bear that fruit God has created you to produce.

Be thankful to God that you are wonderfully made to accomplish His purposes.

Faith walk with Christ Jesus

 

Word:

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.  Heb 11: 1-3

“The just shall live by faith” Hab 2:4

“For we live by faith, not by sight” 2 Cor 5:7

Thought:

God’s word has awesome power. When He speaks do we listen and respond? How can we better prepare our self to respond to God’s word? God wants our faith that leads to a personal, dynamic and intimate relationship with Him.

Faith is a precious gift of God that grows as we apply it in our day to day life.

God’s laws

Word:

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.  Psalms 19: 7-11

Thought:

God’s laws revive us, make us wise, bring joy to the heart, giving insight, warn us and reward us. God’s laws are guide lines and lights for our path, rather than chains on our hands and feet. They point at danger to warn us, and then point at success to guide us.

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God, Mat 4:4

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow;

it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.

Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are -yet was without sin. Hebrews 4:12-15 (NIV)

Purpose of God’s word

 

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isa 55:10-11

Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. Ps 19: 11-14
