Look up at the sky and count the stars

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the Mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word:

The LORD took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.  Gen 15: 4-5.

Thought:

In verse 12 – Bible says that the sun was going down. In verse 5 Bible says God called Abram out of his tent and ask him to look up at the sky and count the stars. God can show stars even in the day time. He is the creator of this Universe and His blessings are beyond our imaginations.

God is the beginning and the end. He is our creator and has numbered all our days even before we were born.  When circumstances are not in favor of you, when things go wrong don’t despair rather trust in God for He is in control.

He said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. Zec 4:6

For we live by faith, not by sight. II Cor 5:7

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10b

And they sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth” Revelation 5:9-10

led by the Spirit of God are the children of God

Dear all,

Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Ephesians 6: 10

Word: Life by the Spirit

(Jesus) I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10b

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to son ship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8: 14-17

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Galatians 5: 16-18

Thought: When you follow God’s call on your life, you might find yourself in some unfamiliar places. A seedy part of town. Onstage, speaking in front of a large group. A completely different country. You might get a little scared. And that’s okay. What’s important to remember is that God is always with you.

Living by the Holy Spirit’s Power

Dear all,

May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. II Thes 3: 16

Word:

Living by the Holy Spirit’s Power:

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.  For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Galatians 5:16-18

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians%205%3A16-18&version=NASB

Thought:

Being led by the Holy Spirit involves the desire to hear, the readiness to obey God’s Word, and the sensitivity to discern between your feelings and His promptings. Live each day controlled and guided by the Holy Spirit. Then the words of Christ will be in your mind, the love of Christ will be behind your actions, and the power of Christ will help you control your selfish desires.

We live by faith, not by sight

Dear all,

May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. II Thes 3: 16

Word: Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, The righteous man shall live by faith.” Galatians 3:11

We live by faith, not by sight – II Corinthians 5: 11

Thought: Trying to be right with God by our own effort doesn’t work. Good intentions such as “I’ll do better next time” or “I’ll never do that again” usually end in failure. Paul points out here that by trusting God – believing in his provision for our sins and living each day in his power – we can break this cycle of failure.

Divine power of LORD Jesus

Dear all,

Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1:2

Word:

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. II Peter 1:3 and 4

Thought:

The power to lead a godly life comes from God. He allows us to “share his divine nature” in order to keep us away from sin and help us to live every day for him. When we are born again, God by his spirit empowers us with his own goodness to show the love of Christ to others.

“JOYFUL JOURNEY WITH GOD IS INITIATED AND IGNITED IN LORD JESUS CHRIST BY THE POWER OF HOLY SPIRIT”

“Obedience is not the root of salvation but the fruit of salvation.”

Dear all,

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1: 2

Word: So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works[a]miracles among you, do it by the works of [b]the Law, or by [c]hearing with faith? Galatians 3: 5

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+3%3A5

ThoughtObedience is not the root of salvation but the fruit of salvation.

The greatest miracle of the Spirit is faith, freedom from the bondage of thinking if you do not do all the Law there is condemnation, separation from God. By God’s grace (favor) to us the Law points out our sin so we can change our direction and honor God and His Word by obeying.

Paul’s message comes from Christ

Dear all,

May God our Father and the LORD Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Galatians 1: 3

Word:

Paul’s message comes from Christ – Dear brothers and sisters, I want you to understand that the gospel message I preach is not based on mere human reasoning. I received my message from no human source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ. Galatians 1: 11 – 12.

Thought:

“Be strong, be strong and be strengthened” – God’s Word is not for the faint of heart or the mentally lazy, it requires thought and decisive action by the reader/hearer based on the truth it unfolds by God’s Spirit. In addition, it is the source of the power we need for our everyday walk.

“JOYFUL JOURNEY WITH GOD IS INITIATED AND IGNITED IN LORD JESUS CHRIST BY THE POWER OF HOLY SPIRIT”

“Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!”

Dear all,

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1: 2

Word: Luke 23: 26 – 43

40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”Luke 23: 40 – 43

Thought: Defining Moments: – We all face defining moments, times when we make a choice or take a course of action that changes the whole route of our life.  With one step, in a particular direction, our life moves on a new path way. These times, which impact us more than we can possibly dream or imagine, often come as we press forward on our uphill journey of faith in Christ Jesus.

The Strength of Solitude and Silence

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: “And the Jesus withdrew and went to a quiet place.”

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%205:15-17&version=NASB

Thought: The Strength of Solitude and Silence

When we take time to read the gospels closely we will notice how often, sprinkled among the narratives, are phrases such as, “And then Jesus withdrew and went to a quiet place.” In the language of spiritual development this is called solitude: carving out a space in your life where God can speak to you. It is being quiet, confident in Christ Jesus and eager to listen to His voice. In these quiet moments God speaks and He meets us.
