Jesus forgives

Word:“Jesus forgives”

One of the criminals who hungthere hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!” Butthe other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you areunder the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what ourdeeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”  Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when youcome into your kingdom.” Jesus answeredhim, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”  Luke 23: 39 – 43.

Thought:

Jesusstands ready to forgive any sin in your life, but confession and repentance mean a change of heart. With God’shelp we can accept Christ’s forgiveness and stop our wrong doing. Jesus healsour inner wounds as well as outer wounds by his stripes.

“Hewas wounded… He was crushed… By His stripes we are healed” (Isa 53:5)

Wisdom – God-given gift

Word:

Trust inthe LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in allyour ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3: 5-6

Thought:

Wisdomis a God-given gift. Its starting point is God and his revealed word, thesource of “knowledge and understanding”. The pathway to wisdom is strenuous andwhen we are on the path, we discover that the true wisdom is God’s.

Christ’s law for forgiveness

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4: 31-32

Thought: This is Christ’s law for forgiveness. We have received the forgiveness in Christ; let us pass it on to others for His kingdom’s sake.

Thank you all

Rejoice always in Christ

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let us continue to seek Christ’s wisdom by surrendering to Him in addition to learning from Him to serve His Kingdom.

Word:

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
I Thessalonians 5: 16 – 18.

Thought:

Our joy, prayers, and thankfulness should not oscillate with our circumstances or feelings. When we accept His Lordship in our lives and trust Him completely we will begin to see our circumstances in a new perspective with heavenly vision. Our spiritual eyes should be enlightened by Him and His word every day.

All Scripture is God-breathed

Word:

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. II Tim 3: 16

The purpose of God’s judgment is correction, not revenge

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word:

The word of the LORD came to Jonah son of Amittai: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the LORD. Jonah 1: 1-3.

Thought:

The purpose of God’s judgment is correction, not revenge. He is always willing to show compassion to anyone willing to obey Him. If God asks us to share with our neighbors / colleagues Christ’s love and the free gift of salvation through faith in Lord Jesus what will our response be? When we face difficulties on account of the gospel God will provide us the strength and encouragement we need.

Let us boldly share the love of Christ to those who are in need of Christ’s love.

The Fear of the Lord

Word:

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer. Pro 9: 10-12.

Thought:

The foundation of knowledge is to fear the LORD- to honour and respect God, to live in awe of His power and obey His word. The word of God is living, life changing and dynamic as it works in us. It is the controlling principle of our understanding of life in this world as well as our attitudes and our actions.

The Supremacy of the Son of God

 Word:

The Supremacy of the Son of God

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.  Col 1: 15-17

Thought:

God says that wisdom is primary and fundamental. It is the foundation on which all life is built. In Paul’s spiritual journey he mentioned about wisdom to describe Christ’s presence at the creation of the world.

God’s plan

Word:

Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.” After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route. Mat 2: 7-12

Thought: Herod was king by a human appointment; Jesus was king by a divine appointment. No one can prevent God’s plan from being carried out.

Need Strength???

Word:

Do you not know?    Have you not heard?  The LORD is the everlasting God,   the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary,   and His understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40: 28-31.

One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

Acts 18: 9-10

I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength. Phil 4:13

Thought:

God’s power and His strength never diminish and it is limitless like His everlasting love. His strength is our source. He cares for each and every one of us personally.
