Are we caught up with materialism? Who/what is ruling our hearts?

Dear Friends in Christ,

Wish you all a Christ centered Christmas. Remember Christ Jesus is the reason for this season!

Word:

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. Luke 21: 33-34

Thought: Are we caught up with materialism? Who/what is ruling our hearts?

If we replace Christ with anything else that becomes idol worship.

Our role model is Christ and He lived a humble and holy life. Do we have humbleness in our hearts?

Today is the day of Salvation. Turn to Jesus and He will change our hearts.

Have you ever considered how one generation carries the Gospel of Christ Jesus to the next generation?

Dear all,
Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Ephesians 6: 10
Word:
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Baton - Passing
Thought:
Have you ever considered how one generation carries the Gospel of Christ Jesus to the next generation? Have you ever wondered what would happen to the Gospel of Christ Jesus if one generation failed to pass it on?
One brother, Andrew, led another brother called Peter to Christ (John 1:39-42); and Peter brought multitudes !!!

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
Thought for the week:
2 Corinthians 2:14
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.

Religious Vs Relationship

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Thought: Religious Vs Relationship

In this passage, Jesus gives us a significant insight about our Heavenly Father. He is not only majestic and holy but personal and loving. We can call Him Abba Father (Romans 8: 15).

Are we merely religious? Or do we have relationship with God in Christ Jesus? When we do have the relationship, we cannot hide the Aroma of Christ Jesus in every part of our day-to-day life.

Be an inspiration of truth

Greetings. May God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

Word:  Matthew 5: 14 – 17 says, you are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Thought:

Can you hide a city that is sitting on top of a mountain? Its light at might can be seen for miles. If we live for Christ we will glow like lights, showing others what Christ is like. We hide our light by

  1. Being quiet when we should speak
  2. Going along with the crowd
  3. Denying the light
  4. Letting sin dim the light
  5. Not explaining our light to others
  6. Ignoring the needs of others.

When you follow Christ Jesus you are at war. Do you know that?

Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Ephesians 6: 10

Word: For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortress. 2 Corinthian’s 10: 4

Godly thoughts – Acceptable speech pattern – Christ centered motives

Word:  “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.” Matthew 15:17-20

Thought: We work hard to keep our outward appearance attractive, but what is deep down in our heart is more important to God. When people become followers of Christ, God makes them different on the inside. He will continue the process of transformation inside them if only they ask and seek. God wants us to have a healthy relationship with Him and others by Godly thoughts, acceptable speech pattern and Christ centered motives.

God’s Provision and man’s need

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. I Cor 1: 3

Word: John 3:16 (NIV)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Thought: God’s Provision and man’s need
