“The Triumphal entry into Jerusalem”

Dear all,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: “The Triumphal entry into Jerusalem”

21 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.” Matthew 21:1-3

The Coming of Zion’s King

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9

Thought:

The triumphal entry of Jesus was predicted by Zechariah more than 500 years before it happened. Just as this prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus came to earth, the prophesies of his second coming are certain to come true. We are to be ready for his return, for he is coming!

Don’t let the cares of this life weigh us down. Be ready;

Prepare to meet your God, O Israel Amos 4:12

Be strong and glad!

Effective Prayer – Our God is a Benevolent Father – “Abba, Father”. Do you have the relationship?

Dear all,
May the LORD give you peace in your heart and lead you into the path of His Righteousness!
Word:

Matthew 7:7-11 New Living Translation (NLT) – Effective Prayer

7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? 10 Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! 11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Thought: Loving and being loved: Our God is a Benevolent Father – “Abba, Father”. Do you have the relationship?

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

“The weapon of prayer against the forces of evil prevails. It brings power. It brings fire. It brings life.”

Dear all,
Praise the LORD.
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
How great are His signs, How mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom: His dominion endures from Generation to generation.

Word: Hebrews 4: 16; Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4: 16
Thought: Prayer is our approach to God, and we are to come “boldly” because He is our friend and Counselor. But also come with reverence because He is our King.

“Oh, the wonders of prayer! ‘Abraham’s servant prays…Rebekah appears. Jacob wrestles and prays and prevails with Christ…Esau’s mind is wonderfully turned from the revengeful purpose he has harbored for twenty years. Moses cries to God… the sea divides. Moses prays…Amalek is discomfited. Joshua prays…Achan is discovered. Hannah prays…Samuel is born. David prays…Ahithophel hangs himself. Asa prays…a victory is gained. Jehoshaphat cries to God….God turns away his foes. Isaiah prays…the dream is revealed. Daniel prays…the lions are muzzled. Daniel prays…the seventy weeks are revealed. Ezra prays at Ahava…God answers. Nehemiah starts a prayer…the King’s heart is softened in a minute. Elijah prays…a drought of three years succeeds. Elijah prays…rain descends apace. Elisha prays…Jordan is divided. The church prays fervently..Peter is delivered by an angel. – Adapted from Streams in the desert by Mrs. Charles E. Cowman

Holy Spirit’s Vision Inscribed In Touch Vs Worldly vision

Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Ephesians 6: 10

Word: Matthew 6: 19 – 24 – The Truth about Treasures

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Thought: Holy Spirit’s Vision Inscribed In Touch Vs Worldly vision

Spiritual vision is to see clearly what God wants us to see the world from His point of view. But this spiritual insight can be easily clouded and entangled by “selfish” desires and sinful attitudes. The  Bible says a good eye is one that is fixed up on Jesus (Hebrews 12: 1-2).

Religious Vs Relationship

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Thought: Religious Vs Relationship

In this passage, Jesus gives us a significant insight about our Heavenly Father. He is not only majestic and holy but personal and loving. We can call Him Abba Father (Romans 8: 15).

Are we merely religious? Or do we have relationship with God in Christ Jesus? When we do have the relationship, we cannot hide the Aroma of Christ Jesus in every part of our day-to-day life.

Spiritual discipline – When you “Give” – “Pray” – “Fast” – Do it secretly

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Word: Matthew 6: 1 – 18

Thought:

In this passage, Jesus gives us a significant warning in three areas of Spiritual discipline.

When you give” Do it secretly”

When you pray” Do it secretly”

When you fast” Do it secretly”

Jesus wants us to get the best compensation possible, so He tells us to be sure we are working for our Heavenly Father and not for other people. He will never disappoint you.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one

May God our Father and LORD Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Ephesians 1: 2

Word: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Matthew 6:13

Thought: God has promised that He won’t allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear (1 Corinthians 10: 13). Let us stand on the promises of God and resist the devil in the name of Jesus! Choose God’s way by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Christ Jesus – An open door – A Low door- A Narrow door

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Ephesians 6: 10

Word: What is a door? What is the purpose of a door?

John 10: 7 – 11 Jesus therefore said to them again, “Truly, Truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. “All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. “I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. “The thief comes only to steal, and kill and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.

Who is your guide?

Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Ephesians 6: 10

Word:

Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth that is what defiles them.” Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?” He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.  Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” Matthew 15:10-14

Thought:  Who is your guide? Make sure that those you listen to and learn from are those with good spiritual eyesight – they teach and follow the principles of Scripture.

Jesus appears to Seven Disciples

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: Jesus appears to Seven Disciples

John 21: 1-14

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2021%3A1-14&version=NASB;NIV

And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith has nothing to it; you are still guilty of your sins. And those in Christ who already died are lost. If our hope in Christ for this life only, we should be pitied more than anyone else in the world. 1 Corinthians 15: 17-19

JESUS 1

Thought: The truth of Christianity rests heavily on the Resurrection. His disciples, those who claimed to have seen the risen Jesus went on to turn the world upside down. Most of them also died for being followers of Christ.
