Greetings. May God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

Word:  Matthew 5: 14 – 17 says, you are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Thought:

Can you hide a city that is sitting on top of a mountain? Its light at might can be seen for miles. If we live for Christ we will glow like lights, showing others what Christ is like. We hide our light by

  1. Being quiet when we should speak
  2. Going along with the crowd
  3. Denying the light
  4. Letting sin dim the light
  5. Not explaining our light to others
  6. Ignoring the needs of others.

As followers of Christ Jesus, our lives should resemble the life of Christ Jesus- having the same priorities, values and concerns. Pray to God for a heart of Compassion to see our community, city and world like the way Jesus sees them, to carry the gospel empowered with the power of Holy Spirit.

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let us remember the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ’s great commission.

When He (Jesus) was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Cor 4:4

Prayer:

Dear God open our eyes to see the mission fields that are ready for harvest. Help us see with a moving compassion the multitudes of people without someone to show them the way. In Jesus name. Amen.
