Godly Woman – Proverb 31: 10-31

The top four outstanding qualities of a Godly woman: Godly Woman – Proverb 31: 10-31

Commitment / Loyalty

Industrious / Diligent

Charity / Love

Beautiful speech /  Wise and kind words

A godly woman has an excellent spirit of devotion and the essence of excellence. She is honorable, faithful, pure, upright before God, family, and others, trustworthy, capable, intelligent, diligent, generous, and kind. She works with her hands and provides food for her household. The Holy Spirit controls the tongue and gives a beautiful speech, which spills from the Holy Spirit-filled hearts. The Bible says in Proverbs 11:13, A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1. The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Proverbs 12:18.

Let us train our eyes to see well, tongue to speak well, and ears to hear well. Do not allow them to wander to their will and wish, making us miserably fail and fall. Make Bible reading, meditation, prayer time, and witness-full life inseparable habits; they are the four pillars for a strong Christ Jesus-centered Spiritual life.

Refrain from evil things because, behind every evil thing, only the evil-doer devil will be there!

Looks don’t last; Character does. Superficial attractions may prove inadequate in the long run.

Balanced Christian Life – The Obedient and Fruitful Christian in Action:

Leading a Christ-Jesus-centered and fruitful Christian life is effectively made up of living out the privileges of our new identity in Christ.

  • Balanced and rooted in God’s Word through quality quiet time.
  • Relational quality prayer time.
  • Agape fellowship with believers.
  • Never miss the element of witnessful life.

How’s your balance?

Through Christ Jesus we are overcomers

Dear all,
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Ephesians1: 3
Word:  “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 (ESV)

Thought: Look up to Jesus When we look at the world around us it’s so discouraging. Wherever and whatever we see are filled with chaos and confusion. Today you might be facing a discouraging situation that is holding you up from moving on. Leave the situation in the hands of the Lord and cling to the promise the Lord gave to Joshua as your promise. We pray that you will be like the singing little bird sitting peacefully on top of the tree amidst the roaring storm. Look up to Jesus; He will give you the strength to overcome any raging storm you are facing. Through Christ Jesus we are overcomers.

Reconciliation!

Dear all,

May God give you more and more grace and peace.

Word: So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we “Come back to God”. II Corinthians 5: 20

Thought:  As believers of Christ Jesus, we are Christ’s ambassadors, sent with His message of reconciliation to the world.

How well are we fulfilling our commission as Christ’s ambassadors?

When God speaks, Miracles Happen.

Dear all,

Be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. II Timothy 2: 1

Word: Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1: 3

“And the LORD formed man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2: 7

Thought: The potter making a vessel with his well-trained hands (Ref: Isaiah 64:8 and 2 Corinthians 4:7–11). Elohim reveals His power by creating everything by entirely speaking the Word. In particular, God created us by touching mud from the ground. This shows God’s love for mankind and He proved again His love by generously giving His son LORD Jesus Christ for us on the cross to make the path to salvation. In Christ, we have everything we need for salvation and for living the victorious Christian life. Thank God for what we have received in Christ Jesus.

Never underestimate God’s love for us in Christ Jesus!

When God speaks, miracles happen.

Jesus came to seek and to save the lost

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word:

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.1 Thes 4:7

But it is the spirit in a person, the breath of the Almighty that gives them understanding. Job 32:8

The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Job 33: 4

“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying, and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. Luke 7: 28-32

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. Luke 19:10

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10b

Thought:

In His Time

I wait on God to bring to pass

All that He promised me

And as I wait, I rest in faith

For all, I cannot see

For in His way, He will provide

At just the perfect time

Everything that’s good and right

To bless this life of mine.

Recognizing our critics

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Thought:

Apostle Paul in his instructions to the church of Thessalonica asks them to recognize three important characteristics in people; those who work hard, those who care for others, and those who admonish others. It seems sensible and practical to appreciate hard-working and caring people but it’s not easy to appreciate them when they strongly criticize us. The type of admonishment that Paul talks about is done in love where the person who admonishes someone cares enough about them to boldly warn them of their sinful ways. A simple illustration is a mother admonishing her child for playing with fire. We know she does it in love and it is for the child’s well-being. As believers, we should be able to humbly accept and live with people who admonish us, at the same time, when a situation arises, we should also be courageous enough to admonish others in love.

Word:

1 Thessalonians 5: 12, 13

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord, and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.

Prayer:

Lord, help us to be humble when You or others admonish us, help us fix our sinful ways, and also give us the courage to admonish others in love. Amen.

Sharing the Gospel

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Thought:

As believers, we are called upon to share the gospel with others.  Before we share, we should remind ourselves of the reason or motive behind this sharing. It was indeed done to spread the knowledge and love of Christ. Paul is a great person to emulate in sharing the gospel. In Acts 17 v16, he is distressed by seeing people worshipping idols and being ignorant of who God truly is. His response to the distress is to love on them by sharing the gospel Acts 17 v22-31. To understand the extent of his sacrificial and selfless love we can refer to Romans 9 v1-3 where he is willing to cut himself off from Christ so that his people may know Christ.

Word:

Acts 17:16

While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was greatly distressed to see that the city was full of idols.

Romans 9:1-3

I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit—I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race.

Prayer:

Lord, we thank you for the love and mercies we receive from you every day. We pray that you lead our hearts to share the gospel with others in love. Amen.

Mastering ourselves

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Thought:

In Judges 16, Samson’s lack of self-control and humility was on full display as he made a series of poor choices, sleeping with a prostitute, sharing secrets with the enemy, and being proud of his strength. Eventually, God left Him. We run the same risk when we haven’t mastered ourselves from doing what our flesh or the world wants us to do. Apostle Paul in 1 Cor 9:27 goes so far as to say that he made his body his slave to prevent himself from being disqualified as he is preaching the gospel to others. To each person, making their body their slave could mean different things, but one thing is for sure, it will push us out of our comfort zone. We should strive to push our boundaries to master ourselves for God’s glory and avoid disqualification from attaining eternity with God.

Word:

1 Corinthians 9:27

No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Prayer:

Lord, give us the strength and endurance to master ourselves. Strengthen our weaknesses for Your glory. Amen.
