Fear-of-God

Word of God:

The Fear-of-God builds up confidence, and makes a world safe for your children.

The Fear-of-God is a spring of living water so you won’t go off drinking from poisoned wells.

Proverbs 14: 26-27

The fear of the LORD leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied. Pro 19:23

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward Him. II Chronicles 16:9a

Thought:

Do we have the Fear of God?

When we fear God,  we don’t have to be afraid of or worry about anything.

Jesus is the living water.

Jesus answered, “All who drink this water will be thirsty again.  But anyone who drinks the water I give him will never be thirsty. In fact, the water I give him will become a spring of water in him. It will flow up into eternal life.” John 4: 13 and 14

Jesus Calms the Storm

Word:

Jesus Calms the Storm

That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.”  Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” Mark 4:35-41

Thought: A small decision can make a great change. In our Journey we have to develop a habit to look to Jesus instead of our circumstances.

No one can make you suffer unless He proposes, But the ultimate result is good.

Word of God:

Spiritual Blessings in Christ

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:2-14.

Thought:

God offers salvation to the entire world, just as He planned to do long ago. God is sovereign, He is in charge. When your life seems chaotic, rest in this truth and rest in His arms. God is in control, Jesus is Lord and the Holy Spirit is with you as Jesus Promised.

Growing in Transforming God’ Grace

Growing in Transforming God’ Grace

Word:

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:9-14 (New International Version)

Thought:

God wants us to learn more about Him and also to put it in to practice by helping others. Thank God for what we have received in Christ. “Count your blessings, not your sorrows”

Growing in grace

Growing in grace:

Word: But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen 2 Peter 3:18

Thought: The degree of our spiritual growth is directly proportional to the degree of our submission to God and doing His will. No matter where we are in our spiritual journey, no matter how mature we are in our faith, the sinful world always will challenge our faith. But, the word of God says “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” Phil 1:6

All to Jesus I surrender;

All to Him I freely give;

I will ever love and trust Him,

In His presence daily live.

I surrender all,

I surrender all;

All to Thee, my blessed Savior,

(Judson W. Van DeVenter, 1896)

Our Guiding Force

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. II Cor 1:2

Word: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5

How can a young man keep his way pure?  By living according to your word. Ps 119: 9

Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.  2 Peter 3:18

Thought: Unlike a wild horse that is poorly organized let’s invest our talents and gifts in the development of His kingdom. May His Word be our guiding force.

Christ is the Victor

Word:

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Phil 1:2

Word: Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. Phil 2: 5

But only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10: 42

Thought:

In Spiritual Warfare – Always remember – We are in the Winning side – Christ is the Victor.

Christ the Foundation

Christ the Foundation:

Word: For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames. Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple. I Cor 3: 11 – 17.

Thought: Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

II Tim 2: 19

Revival

Word:

Make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.

Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. II Peter 1: 5 –11.

Thought:

Revival means a new life in hearts where the spiritual life has ebbed. (THE CALVARY ROAD – ROY HESSION)
