Dear all,
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Word: “Jesus Reinstates Peter”
When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. John 21: 15 – 17
Thought:
Jesus asked Peter three times if he loved him. The first time Jesus said, “Do you love me more than these? (Greek agape: self-sacrificial love). The second time, Jesus focused on peter alone and still used the word translated into Greek, agape. The third time, Jesus used the word translated into Greek, phileo (brotherly love) and asked, in effect, “Are you even my friend?
If Lord Jesus Christ asked us the same question today, what will be our response? If we do everything out of love we will never be disappointed. Let us run for the Lord with love.
And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Roman 5:5

All to him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust him,
