O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water.2 Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. In these Bible verses King David reviewed all the ways God had already helped him, and he greeted the next day with songs of praise. In our quiet moments or wakeful nights, make it a point to count examples of God’s faithfulness to us. Doing so is far more likely to give us rest than any other items we might count!
