God expects us to trust him, no matter what

Dear all,

Greetings in the name of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word:

This is how the LORD responds: “If you return to me, I will restore you so you can continue to serve me. If you speak good words rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. You must influence them; do not let them influence you! Jeremiah 15: 19

Thought:

Returning to God is our choice! God promised us total restoration so that we could serve Him. As Christians and disciples of LORD Jesus, He is expecting us to speak well. Our speech pattern and thought process should always please God. Then we will be His spokesperson to share His love and compassion to this world.

As God’s ambassadors we need to influence people for Christ Jesus, not let the world influence us.

  1. In prayer we can reveal our deepest thoughts to God.
  2. God expects us to trust him, no matter what.

Have a blessed day

“And the Jesus withdrew and went to a quiet place.”

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: “And the Jesus withdrew and went to a quiet place.”

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%205:15-17&version=NASB

Thought: The Strength of Solitude and Silence

When we take time to read the gospels closely we will notice how often, sprinkled among the narratives, are phrases such as, “And then Jesus withdrew and went to a quiet place.” In the language of spiritual development this is called solitude: carving out a space in your life where God can speak to you. It is being quiet, confident in Christ Jesus and eager to listen to His voice. In these quiet moments God speaks and He meets us.

Prayer: Two way communication

Dear all,

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of Holy Spirit. Romans 15: 13

Word of God:

At the beginning of your supplications the command was issued, and I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed; so give heed to the message and gain understanding of the vision. Daniel 9: 23

Thought: Prayer: Two way communication

Prayer is an excellent bridge between Our Father in Heaven and us through our Loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit. It is a precious gift which is given exclusively for HIS people. It is a very basic discipline of a born again Christian. Prayer is not to change God but to change our self according to God’s desire. We have to practice the praying habit according to our role model, Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 5:7, Matthew 26: 39 & 42). It is possible because He has promised us the Comforter Holy Spirit. The word of God says in Zechariah 4:6 – Not by might, nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord of hosts.

Word: Blessed are the Poor in Spirit – Matthew 5: 3

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”.
Thought: Need of Christ Jesus’ righteousness instead of self-righteousness
Discipline and Practice: To Grow in Christ centered purity, live according to Christ centered values and attitudes of God’s Kingdom with the help of Holy Spirit.
Response: Realize our depravity, sinfulness – Self-righteousness cannot make a pathway to Heaven. Christ Jesus is the Way, Truth and Life.

“In the midst of a violent attack”

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: Grace under Pressure

Matthew 26: 50 – 54

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+26%3A50-54&version=NIV

Thought: In the midst of a violent attack, Peter and Jesus responded in dramatically different ways. Peter reached out with a sword and returned violence for violence. Jesus reached out his hand and offered healing. Let us look to Jesus because he is the source of our wisdom to lead a Christ centered life. Let God use us as a channel of blessings to many nations.

Remember we are the ambassadors of Christ Jesus! Yes we are!

Dear all,

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of Holy Spirit. Romans 15: 13

Word: Not to be served but to serve:

For even the Son of Man did not come to be servedbut to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10: 45

Thought: The essence of Christian life is based on the faith in LORD Jesus Christ. In this human life span we need to be led by the power of the Holy Spirit to avoid the domination of flesh over us. When we have the attitude of Christ Jesus in our mind we will see the world with the eyes of Jesus that is with compassion to bring healing touch to those who are in need.

Remember we are the ambassadors of Christ Jesus! Yes we are!

“Teacher” and “LORD”

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. John 13: 13-15

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+13%3A1-17&version=NIV

Thought: Here, Jesus is correcting the order in which they addressed Him to inscribe his vision in his disciples’ heart. First, He is expecting us to accept Him as our LORD and then as our Teacher. In addition, Jesus was the model servant, and he showed his servant attitude to his disciples. If even he, God in the flesh, is willing to serve, we his followers must also be servants, willing to serve in any way that glorifies God.

Memorize: Walk humbly with the LORD!

Body of Christ

Dear all,

May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. II Thes 3: 16

Word:

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,  to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)

Thought:

God has given His Church an enormous responsibility to make disciples in every nation. This involves preaching, teaching, healing, nurturing, giving, administering, building and many other tasks. God calls us as members of His body. Some of us can do one task; some can do another. Together we can obey God more fully than any of us could alone. It is a human tendency to overestimate what we can do by ourselves and to underestimate what we can do as a group. But as the body of Christ, we can accomplish more together than we would dream possible working by ourselves. Working together, the Church can express the fullness of Christ.

“Talitha kum!”

Dear all,

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1: 2

Word: Taking the child by the hand, He *said to her, “Talitha kum!” (which translated means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). 42 Immediately the girl got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were completely astounded.

Thought: What role Jesus played in Peter, James and John’s life?

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark+5%3A37-43

Jesus played a significant role in these peoples’ life. He changed their attitudes, characters, life style and changed their destination in a heavenly way.
