The church of believers that meets at Christian Fellowship Centre (CFC) today commenced with a few families that first met together in Bangalore, India in August 1975. Led by Zac Poonen and Ian Robson, they decided to first be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ themselves, and then to make disciples in obedience to the Lord’s commission in Matthew 28:18-20. They emphasized new birth, holiness of inner life, mutual love, moral purity, financial integrity and sharing God’s truth with others – founding every aspect of their lives on God’s Word alone.
Starting as a small House Church, this body of Christ has grown steadily in the understanding and experience of the New Covenant Life in the Spirit. Right from the start, and through its growth over four decades the same set of distinctives has become the DNA of this Church. We soon felt a burden to share these wonderful truths that had transformed our own lives with others, starting with a monthly paper on the overcoming life and a tape ministry, and conferences for like minded disciples. In 1981 the growing Church moved into a meeting hall constructed at 40, DaCosta Square, in Bangalore. 1982-1989 marked the beginnings of the work of planting churches in other cities and states in India.
1989-1995 was a very productive period in Zac Poonen’s book writing ministry, and in the coming years he published more than twenty books. By 1997 the audio tape outreach had reached many lands. In 1999 at the age of 60, Zac Poonen gave up Eldership of CFC, Bangalore in order to travel with the Word. Our Internet outreach started in 2003 and this period also saw planting of churches in other continents. In 2014, the Church at Bangalore, having completed forty years as a Church, and also having outgrown our old hall, moved into our current meeting hall at Paradise Enclave, Bellahalli, Bangalore
Eldership at CFC Bangalore:
Christian Fellowship Church has always sought to follow New Testament teaching with respect to leadership of a local church (Tit.1:5; Acts 14:23). The word Elders indicated as “Plural” shows the necessity of having multiple elders in a local church to maintain balance in the leadership. At Bangalore, our leadership consists of four Elders- Ian Robson, Newton, Charles Banna and Vettriselvan. As per biblical teaching, the expectation on every individual member of the church is to be subject to the authority of these elders in all matters concerning the local church (Heb.13:17; 1 Thess.5:12-13).

IS THE LORD JESUS’S POWER LIMITED?
Promises – Problems – Promotion
The answer is “NO”, because our LORD Jesus is still on His throne.
Read Isaiah 6 and Revelation 1

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=revelation%201&version=NASB
Suffering – is it the true path of a successful Christian life? The answer is amazingly “YES”. There are too many ways to hell but the only way to heaven is through LORD Jesus (John 15). We may ask why these things are happening in my life or why a lot of natural disasters around me? Is it God’s judgement or does God call people in a different way to have a closer walk with him? Are these your questions? Remember, LORD Jesus is the only person who can change the question mark into an exclamation mark! You may read any passage from his teachings and connect these dots and get a full picture.
God has given the promises! But, problems are arising; remember God has a perfect time for a wonderful promotion. Every promise from God will be fulfilled in the life of the child of God according to the master plan of Almighty God. For example, in the life of Joseph (Genesis 37) the problems could not kill or destroy the promise of God. Remember, our names are written by God in the book of life and this life is a faith journey to equip us to be with him forever.
Never underestimate the resurrected power of LORD Jesus! Since, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit we are carrying the presence of God with us wherever we go. For instance, God created turtle with a dwelling place on the top of the animal and we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Let the Joy of the LORD fill our hearts and mind to build us as His holy temple.
We have been delivered by the power of Jesus name and we should not go and voluntarily tie up with sin again! Sin is not fun and I strongly believe that Holy life in Christ Jesus is a Jolly life. When we lay a strong foundation for our Spiritual life (Matthew 7), God is able to construct the superstructure. Even in the midst of a bundle of problems we will be victorious in the name of Jesus! We should not obey the voice of Satan but put on the full armor of God to stand firm in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 6). Satanic forces want to destroy our character by triggering us to sin. In addition, the ultimate aim of the satanic forces is to steal your relationship with Christ Jesus and kill the peace of mind in Christ Jesus.
What do we need to do? Resist the devil in Jesus’ name and stand firm in Christ Jesus. The immediate preventive measures should be taken against the strategies of satanic forces by the heavenly guidance of the Holy Spirit. God is able to carry us through it. Have faith in Him for His Omnipotence and His Omnipresence. Joseph never compromised with sin (Genesis 37).
Repent, Realize and Visualize – God’s plan cannot be destroyed by satanic devices and by his strategies. God will promote us when we submit our thought life, emotional life and physical life absolutely to God. Partial submission is disobedience. For a believer in Christ Jesus every problem is an opportunity to proclaim Jesus’ name!
Where are we? Redemption is near! Let us walk with Him humbly! Jesus will not permit us to be ashamed and He will not permit us to walk through a path of suffering without a reason. Let us grow in Christ Jesus in a well-balanced way, by reading the Word of God and applying the Word of God in every situation. Prayer can change anything and prayer can change any one and it can change the emptiness of life into a fulfilled and meaningful life!
No matter what, God can make every tragedy as a strategy to proclaim His holy name like He did it in His Holy Bible’s characters such as Joseph, Daniel, Paul, Peter, and on and on and on.
Dear all,
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Word: Grace under Pressure
Matthew 26: 50 – 54

Thought: In the midst of a violent attack, Peter and Jesus responded in dramatically different ways. Peter reached out with a sword and returned violence for violence. Jesus reached out his hand and offered healing. Let us look to Jesus because he is the source of our wisdom to lead a Christ centered life. Let God use us as a channel of blessings to many nations.

Dear all,
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Word: 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. John 13: 13-15

Thought: Here, Jesus is correcting the order in which they addressed Him to inscribe his vision in his disciples’ heart. First, He is expecting us to accept Him as our LORD and then as our Teacher. In addition, Jesus was the model servant, and he showed his servant attitude to his disciples. If even he, God in the flesh, is willing to serve, we his followers must also be servants, willing to serve in any way that glorifies God.
Memorize: Walk humbly with the LORD!

Dear all,
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. Zechariah 4: 6

Thought: Many people believe that to thrive in this world the person must be tough, strong, unbending and harsh. But God says, “Not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit.” The key word is “by my Spirit.”
As you lead a Christ centered life, determine not to trust in your own strength or abilities. Instead, depend on God’s unlimited resources and work in the power of His Spirit.

Word: Jesus is the way to the Father
John 14
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+14
Thought: Jesus is the way to the Father – This is one of the most basic and important passages in Scripture. How can we know the way to God? Only through Christ Jesus. Trust Jesus to take you to the Father, and all the blessings in Christ Jesus of being God’s child will be yours.

Dear all,
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Word: Hebrews 4: 16; Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4: 16
Thought: Prayer is our approach to God. The answer from God for our Prayers may be “Yes”, “No” or may be even “wait” – Spiritual maturity and the multidimensional growth process is progressive in our continuous walk in Christ Jesus.

John 14:2 (NIV)
My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
Full Chapter: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+14
Thought: Christ Jesus’s words show that the way to eternal life, though unseen, is secure – as secure as your trust in Jesus. He has already prepared the way to eternal life.
1. Have we made our “reservation” at the “place He has prepared for us”?
2. Are we resting in Christ Jesus?

Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Ephesians 6: 10
