“Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!”

Dear all,

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1: 2

Word: Luke 23: 26 – 43

40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”Luke 23: 40 – 43

Thought: Defining Moments: – We all face defining moments, times when we make a choice or take a course of action that changes the whole route of our life.  With one step, in a particular direction, our life moves on a new path way. These times, which impact us more than we can possibly dream or imagine, often come as we press forward on our uphill journey of faith in Christ Jesus.

The Strength of Solitude and Silence

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: “And the Jesus withdrew and went to a quiet place.”

Thought: The Strength of Solitude and Silence

When we take time to read the gospels closely we will notice how often, sprinkled among the narratives, are phrases such as, “And then Jesus withdrew and went to a quiet place.” In the language of spiritual development this is called solitude: carving out a space in your life where God can speak to you. It is being quiet, confident in Christ Jesus and eager to listen to His voice. In these quiet moments God speaks and He meets us.

“In the midst of a violent attack”

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: Grace under Pressure

Matthew 26: 50 – 54

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+26%3A50-54&version=NIV

Thought: In the midst of a violent attack, Peter and Jesus responded in dramatically different ways. Peter reached out with a sword and returned violence for violence. Jesus reached out his hand and offered healing. Let us look to Jesus because he is the source of our wisdom to lead a Christ centered life. Let God use us as a channel of blessings to many nations.

“Teacher” and “LORD”

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. John 13: 13-15

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+13%3A1-17&version=NIV

Thought: Here, Jesus is correcting the order in which they addressed Him to inscribe his vision in his disciples’ heart. First, He is expecting us to accept Him as our LORD and then as our Teacher. In addition, Jesus was the model servant, and he showed his servant attitude to his disciples. If even he, God in the flesh, is willing to serve, we his followers must also be servants, willing to serve in any way that glorifies God.

Memorize: Walk humbly with the LORD!

Body of Christ

Dear all,

May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. II Thes 3: 16

Word:

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,  to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)

Thought:

God has given His Church an enormous responsibility to make disciples in every nation. This involves preaching, teaching, healing, nurturing, giving, administering, building and many other tasks. God calls us as members of His body. Some of us can do one task; some can do another. Together we can obey God more fully than any of us could alone. It is a human tendency to overestimate what we can do by ourselves and to underestimate what we can do as a group. But as the body of Christ, we can accomplish more together than we would dream possible working by ourselves. Working together, the Church can express the fullness of Christ.

“The Triumphal entry into Jerusalem”

Dear all,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: “The Triumphal entry into Jerusalem”

21 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.” Matthew 21:1-3

The Coming of Zion’s King

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9

Thought:

The triumphal entry of Jesus was predicted by Zechariah more than 500 years before it happened. Just as this prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus came to earth, the prophesies of his second coming are certain to come true. We are to be ready for his return, for he is coming!

Don’t let the cares of this life weigh us down. Be ready;

Prepare to meet your God, O Israel Amos 4:12

Be strong and glad!

Atonement – Reconciliation In Christ Jesus

Atonement – Reconciliation In Christ Jesus

CROSS

Galatians 2: 20 says, my old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Thought:

Our Journey in Christ began when in unity with him we died to our old life (Romans 6: 5 – 11). And yet the focus of Christianity is not on dying but on living. Because we have been crucified with Christ, we have also been raised with him. We are reconciled with God through the resurrected power of Christ Jesus.

We are never alone in this planet because Christ Jesus lives in us. He gives the power to the powerless and strength to the weak. He is the true source for the fullness of life and tangible hope for the future (Colossians 1: 27).

Are we caught up with materialism? Who/what is ruling our hearts?

Dear Friends in Christ,

Wish you all a Christ centered Christmas. Remember Christ Jesus is the reason for this season!

Word:

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. Luke 21: 33-34

Thought: Are we caught up with materialism? Who/what is ruling our hearts?

If we replace Christ with anything else that becomes idol worship.

Our role model is Christ and He lived a humble and holy life. Do we have humbleness in our hearts?

Today is the day of Salvation. Turn to Jesus and He will change our hearts.

Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a blessed new-year 2016.

Effective Prayer – Our God is a Benevolent Father – “Abba, Father”. Do you have the relationship?

Dear all,
May the LORD give you peace in your heart and lead you into the path of His Righteousness!
Word:

Matthew 7:7-11 New Living Translation (NLT) – Effective Prayer

7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? 10 Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! 11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Thought: Loving and being loved: Our God is a Benevolent Father – “Abba, Father”. Do you have the relationship?

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15
