“In the midst of a violent attack”

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: Grace under Pressure

Matthew 26: 50 – 54

Thought: In the midst of a violent attack, Peter and Jesus responded in dramatically different ways. Peter reached out with a sword and returned violence for violence. Jesus reached out his hand and offered healing. Let us look to Jesus because he is the source of our wisdom to lead a Christ centered life. Let God use us as a channel of blessings to many nations.

“Teacher” and “LORD”

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. John 13: 13-15

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+13%3A1-17&version=NIV

Thought: Here, Jesus is correcting the order in which they addressed Him to inscribe his vision in his disciples’ heart. First, He is expecting us to accept Him as our LORD and then as our Teacher. In addition, Jesus was the model servant, and he showed his servant attitude to his disciples. If even he, God in the flesh, is willing to serve, we his followers must also be servants, willing to serve in any way that glorifies God.

Memorize: Walk humbly with the LORD!

Body of Christ

Dear all,

May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. II Thes 3: 16

Word:

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,  to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)

Thought:

God has given His Church an enormous responsibility to make disciples in every nation. This involves preaching, teaching, healing, nurturing, giving, administering, building and many other tasks. God calls us as members of His body. Some of us can do one task; some can do another. Together we can obey God more fully than any of us could alone. It is a human tendency to overestimate what we can do by ourselves and to underestimate what we can do as a group. But as the body of Christ, we can accomplish more together than we would dream possible working by ourselves. Working together, the Church can express the fullness of Christ.

“Talitha kum!”

Dear all,

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1: 2

Word: Taking the child by the hand, He *said to her, “Talitha kum!” (which translated means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). 42 Immediately the girl got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were completely astounded.

Thought: What role Jesus played in Peter, James and John’s life?

Jesus played a significant role in these peoples’ life. He changed their attitudes, characters, life style and changed their destination in a heavenly way.

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Romans 8: 11

Thought:

The Holy Spirit is God’s promise of eternal life for those who believe in Him. The Spirit is in us now by faith, and by faith we are certain to live with Christ forever. He is the power source behind the spiritual rebirth of every Christian and He gives the power to live a victorious Christian life in this world.

“The Triumphal entry into Jerusalem”

Dear all,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: “The Triumphal entry into Jerusalem”

21 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.” Matthew 21:1-3

The Coming of Zion’s King

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9

Thought:

The triumphal entry of Jesus was predicted by Zechariah more than 500 years before it happened. Just as this prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus came to earth, the prophesies of his second coming are certain to come true. We are to be ready for his return, for he is coming!

Don’t let the cares of this life weigh us down. Be ready;

Prepare to meet your God, O Israel Amos 4:12

Be strong and glad!

Spectator (Fan) or Team Player (Disciple; the root word is discipline)

Spectator (Fan) or Team Player (Disciple; the root word is discipline):
Thousands of people followed Jesus for various reasons. Everywhere Jesus went, the sick and demon possessed were brought to him and He healed them. Everyone tried to touch him, because the healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone (Luke 6: 19). Instead of desiring God’s pardon and love, they only wanted physical healing or a chance to see spectacular events. In Luke 10, we can see that Jesus sends out 70 people two by two ahead of him to every town where he was about to go. Luke 6: 12 says that Jesus prayed overnight before selecting his 12 disciples. Make sure that all your decisions are grounded in prayer.
When Jesus was in the earth he had a core group of people (3 – Peter, James and John). He took these three men along with him to several places. For example, in Matthew 17: 1; He took them to and showed himself transfigured in mount olives (Mark 13: 3), in Jarius house (Luke 8: 31) and in Gethsemane (Mark 14: 32-34).
Jesus in Gethsemane

They came to a place named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here until I have prayed.” And He took with Him Peter and James and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled. And He said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.”

Thought:
Jesus will share his burden only to core individuals, not to everyone.
Where are we? Among 1000’s or 70’s or 12 or 3.

Casting down the strong holds in Jesus name

Casting down the strong holds in Jesus name
Strong holds are defined as “something” that hold you back from your walk with the LORD Jesus Christ. What is holding you back from receiving spiritual, emotional or physical blessings?
According to the Word of God, it is possible to cast down the strongholds in Jesus’ name.
Adonai-Name-of-God
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says,
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,
Let us do some self-analysis in the presence of God and make wise choices in our walk with the LORD. Whether we like it or not we are in the battle (Ephesians 6). Let us put on the full armor of God and fight the good fight.
Hebrews 12: 1-3, says that, therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

“Fix your eyes on Jesus” – In any race there will be two important persons among many other people. Firstly, the starter – the person who says on your mark, set, go and then the referee – the person who receives you at the finish line and gives the first place, second place or third place cards. Remember in our Christian run LORD Jesus is running with us and He knows how to carry us through the storm. We need faith and faith can move the mountains.
Be still – Psalms 46: 10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” There are times when we need to be quite in the presence of the LORD by the power of Holy Spirit in order to receive the promises of God according to His time table.

Stand still – Exodus 14: 13 – 14 says, But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the LORD rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again.14 The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” – If God has promised you some special promise, no matter what, He will give you the ability to achieve it for His glory.

Sit still – Ruth 3: 18 says, Then Naomi said, “Wait, my daughter, until you find out what happens. For the man will not rest until the matter is settled today.” God had decided to raise Ruth as mother of Kings and He accomplished his plan.

If you have some strong holds in your walk with the LORD, today pray about this and receive the delivering power from the mighty hands of God in the name of Jesus – Amen.
May God bless you and keep you in His grace and make you as a channel of blessings

“The weapon of prayer against the forces of evil prevails. It brings power. It brings fire. It brings life.”

Dear all,
Praise the LORD.
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
How great are His signs, How mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom: His dominion endures from Generation to generation.

Word: Hebrews 4: 16; Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4: 16
Thought: Prayer is our approach to God, and we are to come “boldly” because He is our friend and Counselor. But also come with reverence because He is our King.

“Oh, the wonders of prayer! ‘Abraham’s servant prays…Rebekah appears. Jacob wrestles and prays and prevails with Christ…Esau’s mind is wonderfully turned from the revengeful purpose he has harbored for twenty years. Moses cries to God… the sea divides. Moses prays…Amalek is discomfited. Joshua prays…Achan is discovered. Hannah prays…Samuel is born. David prays…Ahithophel hangs himself. Asa prays…a victory is gained. Jehoshaphat cries to God….God turns away his foes. Isaiah prays…the dream is revealed. Daniel prays…the lions are muzzled. Daniel prays…the seventy weeks are revealed. Ezra prays at Ahava…God answers. Nehemiah starts a prayer…the King’s heart is softened in a minute. Elijah prays…a drought of three years succeeds. Elijah prays…rain descends apace. Elisha prays…Jordan is divided. The church prays fervently..Peter is delivered by an angel. – Adapted from Streams in the desert by Mrs. Charles E. Cowman
