Dear all,
May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Phil 1: 2
Word:
“Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. (Luke 13:24).
Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. Hebrews 4:11

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life 1 John 5:12

Godly life Vs Worldly life
Dear all,
Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1:2
Word:
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. II Peter 1:3 and 4
Thought:
The power to lead a godly life comes from God. He allows us to “share his divine nature” in order to keep us away from sin and help us to live every day for him. When we are born again, God by his spirit empowers us with his own goodness to show the love of Christ to others.

The Triumphal entry into Jerusalem
Dear all,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Word: “The Triumphal entry into Jerusalem”
21 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.” Matthew 21:1-3
The Coming of Zion’s King
Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9
Thought:
The triumphal entry of Jesus was predicted by Zechariah more than 500 years before it happened. Just as this prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus came to earth, the prophesies of his second coming are certain to come true. We are to be ready for his return, for he is coming!
Be strong and glad!

The Parable of the Lost Son
Dear all,
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 1 Peter 1:2
Word: The Parable of the Lost Son – Luke – 15: 11-32
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.19I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’20 So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. 21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
Thought: Father God’s love is constant and patient and welcoming. He will search for us and gives us opportunities to respond. God waits patiently for us to come back to Him.

Father, glorify your name
Dear all,
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Herewith we are forwarding the writing of Dr. Daniel Sathiaraj entitled “Father, glorify your name”.
Father, glorify your name.
Daniel Sathiaraj
These are Jesus’ words. This prayer shows Jesus’ concern for His Father’s glory. He glorified the Father by dying on the cross for humanity and by completing the work God gave Him to do. Jesus said: “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.”
As a response to Jesus’ prayer above (John 12: 28), the Father replied, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”
Jesus left us a model by being concerned about God’s glory. Jesus obeyed God fully. He came to earth to take us to heaven.
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began” (John 17: 1-5).
Are we concerned about our heavenly Father’s name? Even as a 12-year-old boy, Jesus was concerned about His Father’s house. He sat among the teachers and listened to them and asked them questions. “Why were you searching for me?” he asked his parents. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”
“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work”(John 4: 34).
Example of Daniel
Daniel was concerned about God’s name. He was a prisoner in Babylon and the Temple in Jerusalem had been destroyed by the Babylonians. His wonderful prayer in Daniel 9 shows his concern.
“Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary.Give ear, our God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, hear and act! For your sake, my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name” [vv17-19].
Example of Nehemiah
Through some men who came from Jerusalem and Judah, Nehemiah in a foreign land learnt about those who had returned from the Babylonian exile and about Jerusalem. He came to know that God’s people were in great trouble and disgrace and that the wall of Jerusalem was broken down. In response, Nehemiah wept, mourned, fasted and prayed. He mobilized the people and rebuilt the Jerusalem wall in 52 days.
Example of Paul
Paul was concerned about the glory of God. From the time of his conversion till the end of his life, Paul preached the Kingdom of God in various countries of the world and he established many churches.
Paul faceddaily the pressure of his concern for all the churches [2 Corinthians 11: 28].
He wrote: whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10: 31).
Application
Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory (Psalm 115: 1). What work has God given us? How do we complete that work? In many countries including North Korea and Saudi Arabia, may God’s kingdom come. May God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven. All people in the world should know that Jesus Christ died for them on the cross and that He is the risen Saviour of the world.
Father, we love you; we worship and adore you; glorify your name in all the earth.

Thought:
God sent us the light of the world- Jesus Christ- to show His light to those who are in darkness.
God sent us the Savior to seek and save those who are lost.
Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a blessed new-year 2013.

Rejoice always in Christ
Dear Friends,
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let us continue to seek Christ’s wisdom by surrendering to Him in addition to learning from Him to serve His Kingdom.
Word:
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.I Thessalonians 5: 16 – 18.Thought:
Our joy, prayers, and thankfulness should not oscillate with our circumstances or feelings. When we accept His Lordship in our lives and trust Him completely we will begin to see our circumstances in a new perspective with heavenly vision. Our spiritual eyes should be enlightened by Him and His word every day.

Life in Christ Jesus
Word:
Then Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’
“‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’” Luke 13: 6 – 3.
Thought:
Have you been enjoying God’s special treatment without giving anything in return? If so, respond to the Gardener’s patient care and begin to bear that fruit God has created you to produce.
Be thankful to God that you are wonderfully made to accomplish His purposes.
