“And the Jesus withdrew and went to a quiet place.”

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: “And the Jesus withdrew and went to a quiet place.”

Thought: The Strength of Solitude and Silence

When we take time to read the gospels closely we will notice how often, sprinkled among the narratives, are phrases such as, “And then Jesus withdrew and went to a quiet place.” In the language of spiritual development this is called solitude: carving out a space in your life where God can speak to you. It is being quiet, confident in Christ Jesus and eager to listen to His voice. In these quiet moments God speaks and He meets us.

Prayer: Two way communication

Dear all,

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of Holy Spirit. Romans 15: 13

Word of God:

At the beginning of your supplications the command was issued, and I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed; so give heed to the message and gain understanding of the vision. Daniel 9: 23

Thought: Prayer: Two way communication

Prayer is an excellent bridge between Our Father in Heaven and us through our Loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit. It is a precious gift which is given exclusively for HIS people. It is a very basic discipline of a born again Christian. Prayer is not to change God but to change our self according to God’s desire. We have to practice the praying habit according to our role model, Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 5:7, Matthew 26: 39 & 42). It is possible because He has promised us the Comforter Holy Spirit. The word of God says in Zechariah 4:6 – Not by might, nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord of hosts.

“In the midst of a violent attack”

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: Grace under Pressure

Matthew 26: 50 – 54

Thought: In the midst of a violent attack, Peter and Jesus responded in dramatically different ways. Peter reached out with a sword and returned violence for violence. Jesus reached out his hand and offered healing. Let us look to Jesus because he is the source of our wisdom to lead a Christ centered life. Let God use us as a channel of blessings to many nations.

“Teacher” and “LORD”

Dear all,

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. John 13: 13-15

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+13%3A1-17&version=NIV

Thought: Here, Jesus is correcting the order in which they addressed Him to inscribe his vision in his disciples’ heart. First, He is expecting us to accept Him as our LORD and then as our Teacher. In addition, Jesus was the model servant, and he showed his servant attitude to his disciples. If even he, God in the flesh, is willing to serve, we his followers must also be servants, willing to serve in any way that glorifies God.

Memorize: Walk humbly with the LORD!

Body of Christ

Dear all,

May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. II Thes 3: 16

Word:

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,  to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)

Thought:

God has given His Church an enormous responsibility to make disciples in every nation. This involves preaching, teaching, healing, nurturing, giving, administering, building and many other tasks. God calls us as members of His body. Some of us can do one task; some can do another. Together we can obey God more fully than any of us could alone. It is a human tendency to overestimate what we can do by ourselves and to underestimate what we can do as a group. But as the body of Christ, we can accomplish more together than we would dream possible working by ourselves. Working together, the Church can express the fullness of Christ.

“Talitha kum!”

Dear all,

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1: 2

Word: Taking the child by the hand, He *said to her, “Talitha kum!” (which translated means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). 42 Immediately the girl got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were completely astounded.

Thought: What role Jesus played in Peter, James and John’s life?

Jesus played a significant role in these peoples’ life. He changed their attitudes, characters, life style and changed their destination in a heavenly way.

Precious and glorious name of our resurrected Lord and Savior

Dear all,

We greet you in the most precious and glorious name of our resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We wish you all a HAPPY EASTER!

Word:

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Romans 8: 11

Thought:

The Holy Spirit is God’s promise of eternal life for those who believe in Him. The Spirit is in us now by faith, and by faith we are certain to live with Christ forever. He is the power source behind the spiritual rebirth of every Christian and He gives the power to live a victorious Christian life in this world.

“The Triumphal entry into Jerusalem”

Dear all,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: “The Triumphal entry into Jerusalem”

21 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.” Matthew 21:1-3

The Coming of Zion’s King

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9

Thought:

The triumphal entry of Jesus was predicted by Zechariah more than 500 years before it happened. Just as this prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus came to earth, the prophesies of his second coming are certain to come true. We are to be ready for his return, for he is coming!

Don’t let the cares of this life weigh us down. Be ready;

Prepare to meet your God, O Israel Amos 4:12

Be strong and glad!

Spectator (Fan) or Team Player (Disciple; the root word is discipline)

Spectator (Fan) or Team Player (Disciple; the root word is discipline):
Thousands of people followed Jesus for various reasons. Everywhere Jesus went, the sick and demon possessed were brought to him and He healed them. Everyone tried to touch him, because the healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone (Luke 6: 19). Instead of desiring God’s pardon and love, they only wanted physical healing or a chance to see spectacular events. In Luke 10, we can see that Jesus sends out 70 people two by two ahead of him to every town where he was about to go. Luke 6: 12 says that Jesus prayed overnight before selecting his 12 disciples. Make sure that all your decisions are grounded in prayer.
When Jesus was in the earth he had a core group of people (3 – Peter, James and John). He took these three men along with him to several places. For example, in Matthew 17: 1; He took them to and showed himself transfigured in mount olives (Mark 13: 3), in Jarius house (Luke 8: 31) and in Gethsemane (Mark 14: 32-34).
Jesus in Gethsemane

They came to a place named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here until I have prayed.” And He took with Him Peter and James and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled. And He said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.”

Jesus will share his burden only to core individuals, not to everyone.
Where are we? Among 1000’s or 70’s or 12 or 3.
