Plague on Israel was Stopped – II Samuel 24:25

Dear all,

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Phil 1: 2

Word: II Samuel 24:25 says that “David built an altar to the Lord there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the Lord answered his prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.”

Thought:

We are here to intervene like Abraham (Genesis 18), Daniel (Daniel 9), Esther (Esther 8) and our LORD Jesus Christ (John 17). Let us stand in the gap for God’s healing touch on people’s hearts (Ezekiel 22:30) and may God hear our prayers and let this plague be stopped by Him.

The Lord of the Armies is with us. We stand still and know that He is God! (Psalms 46:9-11).

“Seeing Our World through the Eyes of Jesus” – Casting Down the Strongholds in Jesus’ Name!

Dear all,

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love. 1 Corinthians 16: 13 -14.

Casting down the strongholds in Jesus’ name:

A stronghold is defined as “something” that holds you back from your walk with the LORD Jesus Christ. What is holding you back from spending quality time in fasting and praying?

Word:  When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. Nehemiah 1: 4

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Nehemiah+1&version=NIV

Thought:  “Seeing our world through the eyes of Jesus”

Nehemiah intensely mourned about the condition of Jerusalem, but he didn’t just talk about it. After his initial grieving, he prayed, pouring his heart out to God, and he looked for ways to improve the situation.  Nehemiah fasted and prayed for several days, expressing his sorrow for Israel’s sin and his desire that Jerusalem would again come alive with the worship of one true God.

Nehemiah called the people to intercede with tears and repentance. How can we be without compassion for our children, youngsters, and families who are trapped in the grip of Satan? Isn’t it our responsibility to pray for them?

Prayer: Loving Heavenly Father, give us the grace to pray like Nehemiah for those who are afflicted and for our nation for a great revival. In Jesus’ mighty name – Amen.

“When We have the Aroma of Christ Jesus We cannot hide it”.

Dear all,

May God bless and strengthen you all the days of your life Ephesians 6: 12 – 17

Word:

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

Thought:

True believers have been transferred from darkness to light, from slavery to freedom, from guilt to forgiveness and from the power of Satan to the power of God.

Our conduct should reflect our new allegiance.

Word:  The prayer of the upright is his delight – Proverbs 15: 8

“Faith can move the mountains of obstacles” – Be a hero of faith in your faith journey in Christ Jesus (Hebrews 11).

Fight the good fight of faith… (I Tim 6:12)

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. (1 John 5:4)

Thought: “Oh, the wonders of prayer! ‘Abraham’s servant prays…Rebekah appears. Jacob wrestles and prays and prevails with Christ…Esau’s mind is wonderfully turned from the revengeful purpose he has harbored for twenty years. Moses cries to God… the sea divides. Moses prays…Amalek is discomfited. Joshua prays….Achan is discovered. Hannah prays…Samuel is born. David prays….Ahithophel hangs himself. Asa prays…a victory is gained. Jehoshaphat cries to God….God turns away his foes. Isaiah prays…the dream is revealed. Daniel prays…the lions are muzzled. Daniel prays…the seventy weeks are revealed. Ezra prays at Ahava.…God answers. Nehemiah start a prayer…the King’s heart is softened in a minute. Elijah prays…a drought of three years succeeds. Elijah prays…rain descends apace. God Wants to Walk with us before He Works through us

Dear all,

Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Ephesians 6: 10

Word: Enoch Walked with God – Hebrews 11: 5-6 (NIV)

By faith Enoch was taken from this life so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Thought:

God wants to walk with us before He works through us. His ways are reflected in our thoughts, our actions, our motivations, and our life choices because we spend so much time with Him.

How is our faith life? Are we spending quality time in the presence of God every day?  I personally believe that nothing is more important than carrying the presence of God wherever He leads us. God has called us to fix our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12). Let us do some self-analysis and make corrections wherever required.

Quiet Convictions often Earn Long Term Respect

Dear all,

Grace and peace be to you in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Pet 1:2

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Ephesians 1:3

Word:

As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—  you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame. II Peter 2: 4-6.

Thought: Let us renew our vision and confidence in Christ.

The Characteristics of Christ – the Cornerstone, is completely trustworthy and precious to those who believe in Him.

Quiet convictions often earn long term respect.

Twelve Ordinary Men

Dear all,

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love. 1 Corinthians 16: 13 -14.

Word: Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. Matthew 10: 1

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+10&version=NIV

Thought: God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called.

The twelve disciples were personally selected and called by Christ. Ordinary men-people like you and me – became the instrument by which Christ’s message was carried to the ends of the earth. No wonder they are such fascinating characters. – Adapted from John Macarthur’s Twelve Ordinary Men.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble

Dear all,

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.  II Cor 1: 2

Word:

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. John 15: 1 – 4.

How are we responding to this?

Thought:

LORD Jesus is our eternal refuge and gives strength to the weak, power to the powerless and confidence in all situations. Never forget the source of our inspiration.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Psalms 46: 1 – 3

Word of God is Living, Life-changing, and Dynamic

Dear all,

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Phil 1: 2

Word:

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4: 12- 13

Thought:

The word of God is living, life-changing, and dynamic as it works in us. It penetrates the core of our moral and spiritual life. The demands of God’s word require decisions. Let us listen to the word of God and apply it in our day-to-day walk.
