God Promises Action

Exodus 6:1-13 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

God Promises Action

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for under compulsion he will let them go, and under compulsion he will drive them out of his land.”

God spoke further to Moses and said to him, “I am the Lord; and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name, Lord, I did not make Myself known to them. I also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they sojourned. Furthermore I have heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, because the Egyptians are holding them in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant. Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will bring you to the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I will give it to you for a possession; I am the Lord.’” So Moses spoke thus to the sons of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses on account of their despondency and cruel bondage.

10 Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 11 “Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the sons of Israel go out of his land.” 12 But Moses spoke before the Lord, saying, “Behold, the sons of Israel have not listened to me; how then will Pharaoh listen to me, for I am unskilled in speech?”13 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a charge to the sons of Israel and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

“Faith can move the mountains of obstacles”

Dear all,

Grace and peace be to you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The prayers of godly men and women can accomplish more than all the military forces in the world.” Prayer-craft is greater than aircraft!”

What comes from heaven in a promise

Should be sent back to heaven in a prayer

God’s promises cannot fail. He has appointed prayer to bring them to pass. Some will pray them into performances. If you do not, God will seek out others that will.  – Adapted from Streams in the Desert by Charles E. Cowman

“The weapon of prayer against the forces of evil prevails. It brings power. It brings fire. It brings life.  – Author unknown

The secret of prayer is praying secretly.

ATTITUDE – Charles Swindoll – Adapted from http://www.insight.org

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Philippians 2: 5-11

 ATTITUDE

by

Charles Swindoll – Adapted from http://www.insight.org

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company… a church… a home.  The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day.  We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes”

In Christ we have everything we need for salvation and for living the Christian life. Thank God for what we have received in Christ Jesus.

Be Strong in the LORD and in His Mighty Power

Dear all,

Be strong in the LORD and in his mighty power. Ephesians 6: 10 – 20

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians+6%3A10-20&version=NASB

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

In our spiritual battle we face a powerful army that has well-organized strategies to defeat Christ’s church at any cost. Although, at the end we are assured victory in Christ, now we must engage in the struggle until Christ returns. “Take courage” in God’s strength to withstand and to overcome enemy’s every evil action. In James 4: 7, Bible says “Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you”.

The Record of Jesus’ Ancestors

Dear all,

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. Ephesians 1: 3 – 4

Word: The Record of Jesus’ Ancestors

Thought:

God used Matthew to write the gospel book of Matthew. In the first 17 verses we meet 46 people whose lifetimes span 2,000 years. As you can see that, God employs people from diverse and unusual backgrounds to accomplish his purposes. This should give us hope that God can give us a productive future no matter how sinful our past. God’s plan continues to unfold. Amazingly, that plan includes you.

What we feed our minds?

Dear all,

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace and bless you as a channel of blessings.

Acts 14: 17 says “He sends rain and good crops and give you food and joyful hearts”.

Let us receive His blessings and share the blessings to many nations.

Thought:

What we feed our minds is just more as important as what we feed our bodies. The kinds of websites we visit, kinds of books we read, the people we talk with, the Christian music we listen to, and the Christian preachers we listen to are all part of our mental diet. Be discerning, because what you feed your mind influences your total health and well-being. Thus a strong desire like Heroes of faith Joshua, Daniel, and Paul etc etc (Hebrews 11) to discover knowledge is a mark of wisdom in Christ Jesus. Our attitude colors our whole personality. The true happiness in Christ Jesus is in your thoughts not based on the things what we have. We cannot always choose what happens to us, but we can choose our attitude toward each situation. The secret to a joyful heart is filling our mind with thoughts that dwell on the good things in life (Philip 4: 8). This was Paul’s secret as he faced imprisonment because of the true Gospel of Christ Jesus and it can be ours as we face struggles of daily living. Look and check your attitude and then examine in the presence of God what you allow to enter your mind and what you choose to dwell on. You may need to make some positive changes and seek to do what is right, walk humbly with the LORD Jesus Christ in this Journey (Zephaniah 2: 3). Be the Church (Romans 12:3-5) and be the tent maker like Aquila and Pricilla’s family (Acts 18:1-4; 18-20; 24-26).

Arise and Shine for Christ Jesus

Have a blessed walk in Christ

Wish you all a Christ centered Christmas season

Ministry of Reconciliation

Dear all,

Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell. Psalms 43: 3

Word: Ministry of Reconciliation

18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.       2 Corinthians 5:18-21 (NIV)

Thought:

We are called to be ambassadors for Christ Jesus and His Kingdom.

An ambassador is an official representative of a country to another. As believers, we are Christ’s ambassadors, sent with the message of redemption in Christ Jesus to the World.

In what ways we are fulfilling our call?

“When Nothing Makes Sense – Remember God is in Control”

Dear all,
May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1: 2
Word:
Faith in Action
11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews+11
John 11: 40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+11&version=NIV
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+5&version=NIV
Thought:
When nothing makes sense, and when troubles seem more than you can bear, remember that God gives strength. Our feelings should not be controlled by the events around us, but by faith in God’s ability, which will give us the essential strength. Take your eyes off your difficulties and look to Him. God’s time table is something only He has complete control over. He is Sovereign and He is in control. He can be trusted even when we can’t predict the outcome. He will give his disciples the strength and confidence in Christ Jesus during difficult times. God’s people need to live in the strength of His Spirit, confident in his ultimate victory over evil.
To sum up, we believers need to wait patiently with sincere hearts and minds as God gives us a chance to honor Him and absolutely surrender to His Sovereign will. As our faith is tested, we are pruned to grow and bear more Spiritual fruits (Galatians 5). God is never late (John 11), so let us not rush God’s plan. The only perfect timing is God’s and His alone. Honestly, His clock doesn’t function like man’s clock.

The Ultimate Result of True Faith in Christ Jesus

Dear all,

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of Holy Spirit. Romans 15: 13

Word:

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4: 12- 13

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews%204:12-13

Thought:

The word of God is living, life changing, and dynamic as it works in us. It penetrates the core of our moral and spiritual life. The demands of God’s word require decisions. Let us listen to the word of God and apply it in our day to day walk.

True faith in Christ Jesus transforms our conduct, attitude, character, speech pattern, motives and actions resulting in a joyful life.
