 “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company… a church… a home.  The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day.  We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes”

Be strong in the LORD and in his mighty power. Ephesians 6: 10 – 20

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

In our spiritual battle we face a powerful army that has well-organized strategies to defeat Christ’s church at any cost. Although, at the end we are assured victory in Christ, now we must engage in the struggle until Christ returns. “Take courage” in God’s strength to withstand and to overcome enemy’s every evil action. In James 4: 7, Bible says “Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you”.

Spiritual Warfare is Real – So, we are in a battle against three enemies – the world, the flesh and the devil!

Thought:  Know who you are in Christ Jesus, and know your enemy!

So we are in a battle against three enemies – the world, the flesh and the devil.

The world comes at us from the outside bombarding us with counterfeits to truth.

The flesh comes at us from the inside.

The devil is constantly and continuously attacking us, usually working through the world and the flesh rather than mounting a full-on attack.

All three of them try to subdue us without fighting. They attack us at our weak points.  To stand firm in our battle, we need to know the truth and permit the truth to penetrate into our minds.

”You know the truth and the truth will set you free.” John 8: 32

Thought:
When nothing makes sense, and when troubles seem more than you can bear, remember that God gives strength. Our feelings should not be controlled by the events around us, but by faith in God’s ability, which will give us the essential strength. Take your eyes off your difficulties and look to Him. God’s time table is something only He has complete control over. He is Sovereign and He is in control. He can be trusted even when we can’t predict the outcome. He will give his disciples the strength and confidence in Christ Jesus during difficult times. God’s people need to live in the strength of His Spirit, confident in his ultimate victory over evil.
To sum up, we believers need to wait patiently with sincere hearts and minds as God gives us a chance to honor Him and absolutely surrender to His Sovereign will. As our faith is tested, we are pruned to grow and bear more Spiritual fruits (Galatians 5). God is never late (John 11), so let us not rush God’s plan. The only perfect timing is God’s and His alone. Honestly, His clock doesn’t function like man’s clock.

Thought:

What we put into our mind determines what comes out in our words and actions. We may refer to our body as the hardware and what we feed to our body as the software. What kind of software do we have? Christ centered thoughts will build our life in Christ. Paul tells us to program our mind with Christ centered thoughts. If needed we have to reboot the system for a fresh start. Let’s examine what we are feeding our hearts and minds. Let’s make sure to memorize the Word of God and apply whenever we are in the need of victory over satan’s direct and indirect attacks. We need to ask God to help us to focus our mind on what is good and pure with an eternal perspective.

Thought: Why worry?

From the rising to the setting of the sun, God’s name will be exalted among the nations – Malachi 1:11

Do not forget your Father in Heaven (Romans 12). He loves us more than we could ever imagine! When we have the Lordship of Christ Jesus in our day-to-day life, certainly we can face tomorrow with the confidence we have in Him.
